The evaluation follows the Smart Tourist Destination (DTI) model, which is built around five key pillars: governance, sustainability, innovation, technology, and accessibility. In other words, Calvi\u00e0 doesn\u2019t just focus on beaches and nightlife \u2014 it\u2019s working behind the scenes to make sure every aspect of tourism, from transport to information access, runs efficiently and responsibly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Since joining the Smart Destinations Network in 2019, Calvi\u00e0 has become a reference point for smart, connected tourism. The town hall and local partners have collaborated to apply nearly 100 standards and more than 250 performance indicators to improve how the destination is managed. These efforts have earned Calvi\u00e0 recognition at the Nit del Turisme awards by the Balearic Islands Government \u2014 proof of its leadership in sustainable tourism innovation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
